Recording Audio With Audacity
There are several ways to record audio with Audacity. The first of which and likely the easiest is with your computer’s built-in microphone. Of course, you may wish to use an external microphone you can run that directly into your computer or through your external sound card. Import and Export Audio with Audacity

The ability to quickly edit audio is a function made easy with Audacity. Easy editing with Cut, Copy, Paste and Delete. Find the spot to edit easily by scrubbing and seeking or Timeline Quick-Play. Unlimited sequential Undo (and Redo) in the session to go back any number of steps.
